ABOUT:
GameMill Entertainment brings the exciting world of DaGeDar to the gaming market via the Nintendo DS in time for the 2011 holiday season. Each DaGeDar holds a unique “spirit within” that offers advantage to the player during each race. Using sharp reflexes players do battle in a game of speed and skill as they race their DaGeDar ball to the end of a virtual raceway. Each raceway is composed lanes that loop, drop, climb and bank – but also contain blocks, and gaps that will knock the player off their game. 100 basic DaGeDar balls to unlock and choose from. Each ball carries abilities of Acceleration, Top Speed, Defense and Attack. Single or Multi-Player game play. 2 balls are in play at a time. 50 fast and furious raceways. Typical race time is 2-3 min.
DaGeDar is a game where you control a DaGeDar steel ball and have it roll through a course. It actually reminds me of Sonic the Hedgehog with how you control the ball through loops and as you pass through items. You can receive Energy Chargers that refill your Turbo meter so you can go at turbo speeds and fly through the air from a cannon. There are other boosts and of course patches to slow you down or even eat up your ball so you have to start over.
The game includes 3 Championship Leagues, 7Zones, and 100 DaGeDar balls to unlock. You have to keep playing (racing) to get better speeds and slowly you will unlock more and more of the game. So while the game is very easy to play, the challenge is to keep playing to unlock more levels and balls and get better times. My 3 year old loves this game, that’s how easy it was for him – now of course he had a horrible time and wasn’t using Turbo or anything, but he was able to beat the level. For older kids it is the challenge of unlocking everything and even competing against friends! We only have one DS otherwise I am sure my boys would love to race each other! Oh and the basic levels and options you have in the beginning are okay but they definitely get cooler as the game goes on!
BUY IT: Look for “DaGeDar” for the Nintendo DS online or wherever video games are sold!

boys were frustrated with this game to begin with but then ended up really liking it
Luckily Gavin can't read because he is always excited that he won when actually the screen says he lost!
My older boys told Bryan what it says so he can't read it but now he knows.
