I am all about easy recipes, especially during our holiday craziness.  My boys especially love Chex Mix but they love it even more when I mix it up and I know my guests will too when I package it up for them to take some home!  Cookies are great and all but so many people make cookies that I think it will be a nice surprise to put out some Chex Mix!  I have been browsing the recipes for awhile now and I just can’t narrow it down, there are so many awesome ones.  Luckily at only 15 minutes a recipe, I will time to make a few!

Since we are marshmallow fanatics in our house, I wanted to try the Hot Buttered Yum Chex Mix first, but I didn’t have all the ingredients so I went for the Chex Muddy Buddies.

Since my youngest has a peanut allergy I omitted the peanut butter and used extra chocolate chips instead – it came out delicious! I think I might add marshmallows or even M&M’s next time!  I have never eaten Chex Mix cereal before and while it is not my type of breakfast cereal, it is definitely an awesome snack.  I love that I can whip up a batch with stuff that I usually have on hand.  I also used half the ingredients to make a small batch.
