MY THOUGHTS:
While my husband and were born right after Atari was popular we still appreciate its classic games. I love that with a quick download of an iTunes app we can share gameplay with our kids. Using the Atari Arcade- Duo made gameplay much easier than using screen controls and it felt more like a video game rather than an App. With the Atari Arcade-Duo Powered you receive the plastic game device and download the iTunes app. The controls are pretty easy and since the games are simple its pretty easy to play them. We didn’t have a problem either with our iPad not fitting or falling it as there are locks on each side to lock it into place. My dad really got a kick out of this as he had the original Atari and hasn’t played it since, so it is a great device for generations! It is worth it though to buy the $9.99 app since you get 99 games but keep that mind when purchasing the device. I will say I was very disappointed to find out that you the Atari’s Greatest Hits app comes with one game for free (Missile Command) and then you have to buy the rest of the games for $0.99 each or $9.99 for the complete 99 game pack. I just assumed that you received all 99 games for free since the Atari Arcade – Duo Powered is useless without the app.
