“What do you have in your house that you could sell on eBay right now?”

I have been buying and selling on eBay off and on for over ten years now.  I have sold stuff on eBay as a somewhat part-time job and I have sold stuff here and there as I come across things.  Right now I have two listings on eBay for two toys I found in the boy’s playroom that I just cleaned out.  One was a brand new video game that was a duplicate that I couldn’t return and the other was a used toy that my boys don’t really play with anymore.  In just a few minutes I had pictures taken and the toys listed on eBay.  I listed for a week and they actually got bids on them right away.  So it took me a few minutes initially to list them and then it will take me a few minutes to package them up and ship them.

While I am just an occasional eBay user, there are some people that use eBay on a more full-time basis.  There is a couple, Windy and Mark Sibbersen, who use eBay as the family’s second income so Windy could stay home with their kids.  By selling stuff around their own home and then buying discounted items to resell online, they have been able to take family trips and pay for extras for their kids.  They also use the eBay mobile app with their smartphones to price, list and track items they sell on eBay.
