Cartoon Network’s hit animated series Redakai: Conquer the Kairu makes its home entertainment debut with the release of Redakai: Conquer the Kairu “The Journey Begins.” In this action-packed odyssey, Ky, Boomer and Maya begin their journey as Kairu warriors, racing around the world on an incredible pursuit to find the Kairu and to protect it from Lokar and his E-Teens, with the hope that one day Ky will become the greatest Kairu warrior of them all – a Redakai. The series premiered on Cartoon Network in July 2011 and became a smashing success, rating as a top 10 show among boys 6-11 and boys 9-14 on Saturday mornings in its first five weeks on the air, and reaching 15.3 million kids 6-11, 8.7 million boys 6-11, 13.6 million kids 9-14 and 7.8 million boys 9-14, according to Nielsen Media Research. New episodes debut Saturdays at 9:30am (ET/PT).
The two-disc DVD debut of the hit series will contain 13 episodes, special features that provide fans with the story behind Redakai titled “Ky’s Quest” and “The Power of Redakai,” plus an exclusive, limited edition BLAST3D™ trading card.
