When I watch cartoons with my boys it is amazing how different they are from when I was a kid. The cartoons from the 80s maybe weren’t the most (or at all) educational but they were fun and unique! They had plots, interesting characters and gave me something to look forward to every week. There was no On Demand, DVDs or a million other cartoons to choose from. Every week at a designated time (usually Saturday mornings) I watched my cartoons and wished it was Saturday again!
Luckily I can find some of my old favorites On Demand or being re-released on DVD so I can share them with my own children. I was even fortunate to receive ten DVD’s to check out that made me miss my own childhood! Favorites like Carmen Sandiego and Heathcliff are among my favorites so far! My boys love that they are shows they have never seen before and that the animation is so simple for them to follow.
