ABOUT THE BOOK:

Mothers and daughters. They are, at the same time, very similar and completely unique. This relationship – through birth, childhood, teen years, adulthood, grandchildren, aging, and every step in between – can be the best, the hardest, and the sweetest. Mothers and daughters will laugh, cry, and find inspiration in this collection of stories that remind them of their shared love, appreciation and special bond.

MY THOUGHTS:

This book is an awesome book for mothers and daughters everywhere.  It would actually make a wonderful gift for a birthday, get well, or just because!  The book is so easy to read as the stories are just a few pages each, perfect for busy moms who only have a few minutes to spare.  The book is broken down into different sections that every woman can relate to, especially women who are also mothers.  It is funny how I read this book with the perspective from both a daughter and a mother’s point of view.  The book also has stories on adoption and step-parenting.  This is one of my favorite Chicken Soup books!

  • My mom met my dad at a wedding. She had been a guest at the wedding, my dad was a wedding crasher.

  • I try to spend quality mommy and Izzy time together every week. even though she is only 4, I know she looks forward to it especially b/c her two baby brothers are with daddy so she doesn't have to share!

Be a positive role model. Teach her to love herself and what makes her different.

  • My tip to my daughters is to ignore the bullies that pick on you and stand up for yourself

  • You have to be a mom before a friend, but being a friend is extremely important as well, so that your daughter feels comfortable talking about any problem.

  • I call my mom everyday to tell her I love her. Every time you say it is important.
