Disney Social Media Moms Celebration: Disney Yacht Club Resort & Swashbuckler Soiree {Day 1} #DisneySMMoms

So just two weeks ago I was fortunate enough to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration 2012 at Walt Disney World.  We started out by checking in the luxurious Disney Yacht Club Resort.  I had checked in online before hand and at 9am when I checked in our room was actually ready!  Yeah!  I then checked in for the Social Media Moms Celebration to get my passes and agenda for the next few days.

Lots of closets:

Bathroom:

2 Beds and Sofa (to sleep on):

The boys loved having a picnic out there on the balcony:

Our hotel area had its only small pool, the main pool was farther to the left:

Love Mickey Towels:

Pirate Ship Waterslide:

Small cartoon playing tv for kids in lobby:

Giant moving globe in lobby:

Popping over at Magic Kingdom before dinner:

My family and I spent the day at Magic Kingdom then headed to our first Social Media Moms event on the beach at the Disney Yacht Club Resort.  The theme for the night was “Passport to the World Swashbuckler Soiree & Dinner.”  Kids got pirate bandanas, we listened to a pirate band, and of course ate a pirate feast!

The beach at the Disney Yacht Club Resort is amazing so it was a perfect setting for our first night together!  It was casual and great to mingle with other bloggers and their families.    The hotel is across from the Boardwalk which I had no clue Disney had and after dark it is lit up so nice that it just draws you in!

Mom and More Disclosure: I paid a fee to attend the Social Media Moms Celebration at Walt Disney World, but as an attendee I received complimentary items, special discounts, and other exciting benefits such as food and entertainment, so my family and I could experience the magic of Disney.  Please see my Disclosure Policy.

  • Love that resort! I didn't think I would but from your pics, I know I would! Glad you had such a great time!

    • Thanks! We did have a great time and loved the whole atmosphere - the main pool was the best but I forgot to get pics of it!

  • Wasn't the Yacht Club / Beach Club resort just so amazing? We loved it so much. Especially the pool with the sandy beach built in. All pools should be like that.

Remember you can link all your Disney posts up in the linky at our permanent Disney SM Moms page at http://www.5minutesformom.com/disneysmmoms/

    • The sand pool was our favorite too. What a genius idea! I just wish we had more free time to play there as my boys completely loved the sand and I didn't have to worry about dirty lake water or deep water. My 3 year old especially loved the pirate watership!

      Thanks for your linky too!
