Free Knights & Princess Training at Medieval Times This Summer!

Medieval Times has just added a new adventure for young knights and princesses in the form of free training sessions one hour before the first performance.  Throughout the weekends this summer children ages 5-12 years old can participate in a hands-on experience of being a royal Princess or Knight of the Realm.  The sessions are free with paid show admission.

On Saturdays, Princesses create their own Princess Hat and learn proper and perfect princess curtsy.  On Sundays, Knights learn about the bravery and skills required of a knight while using hands on instruction on the core sword fighting moves every Knight must master.  All Knights are dubbed Knights of the realm.

For those making Medieval Times Chicago Castle their weekend birthday party celebration destination, Princess and Knight Training sessions are a no-cost bonus for young party guests attending the first show.

Children should arrive at least an hour and a half prior to the first show; reservations are not required or accepted for Princess and Knight Training sessions. Participation is on a first come basis for the first 100 children, who must be wearing closed toe and closed heel shoes to take part. Dates and times for both Princess and Knight Training are posted on the website at www.medievaltimes.com/chicago and are subject to change.

After the special training sessions end, it’s time for the Medieval Times performance to begin. Audience members cheer for the brave Knights as they seek the title of Champion by competing with authentic weaponry and armor in medieval games of skill, jousting and sword fighting. Guests enjoy feasting on a four-course dinner fit for a king while watching the competition.

The show is amazing in itself and for parents with young kids, this is just an added bonus!  While the cost of the tickets may seem high, once you think about how its for dinner and a show, the cost is actually reasonable and it’s an amazing family experience!

VISIT:  Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament is located at 2001 N. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg, IL. For more information or to purchase show tickets go online to www.medievaltimes.com/chicago or call 1-888-WE-JOUST (888-935-6878).
