Quaker Fuels Chicago Fire! #QuakerFuelsFire

This past weekend my family and I attended our first soccer game thanks to Quaker!  We saw the Chicago Fire and sat in the Quaker section, with Quaker being the official Breakfast Food & Nutritious Snacks Partner of the Chicago Fire.  The Chicago Fire and Quaker’s goal is to reach thousands of families, on and off the field, and demonstrate the importance of eating right and staying fit.  I think Quaker is the perfect sponsor for a sports team, especially soccer players which are constantly running back and forth the field for 90 minutes!

So back to the game, we had a blast!  My boys (4 and 5) did get a little antsy but then again it was hot and they were just taken back by how cool the stadium, field, and snacks were!  The stadium (Toyota Park) is first of all huge and to me the game is exciting.  I have seen other sports before, but I felt the Chicago Fire soccer fans are diehard and made the game experience more interesting.  There is a whole section that the fans stand the entire time and chant, sing and wave flags around.  The energy from the fans is intoxicating that you can’t help but enjoy the game!

While the Chicago Fire did loose the game, it was definitely an experience I hope to take my boys too again.  Before the game though to get us in the mood for sitting in the Quaker section I was sent a whole box of Quaker goodies and some Chicago Fire items.  Now you may think of Quaker as just the canister of classic oatmeal, but they also have some yummy flavors as well new Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookies.  The cookies especially are my favorite, so soft, big and delicious!
