MY THOUGHTS:

Even though I have two boys, we have two girls the same age as them next door so my boys are constantly introduced to girly items. I don’t remember when I first heard about Winx Club but when I saw this moving was coming out I thought it looked cute. The movie is based off the television series and from what I read the animation is a little more vibrant in the movie than the traditional show. I think the movie has amazing colors and really makes the fairies “pop!” The movie is a decent length (just over an hour) and you also get a second disc with seven episodes. For about $15, this is a great value as you get a lot of Winx Club for your money. My boys didn’t mind at all that it was a girly movie, there are some guys in the show and they were just amazed at the colors and characters. I do like though that this set includes an actual movie and episodes, whereas some sets say movie but really just include a bunch of episodes. The story is simple too, about a girl who is looking for her parents.

  • I believe this movie has some hidden racism in it, I watched this movie with my granddaughter and I will have to say as an African American I was disappointed when my 3 year old granddaughter ask me about a scene in the movie where the girls get a date out and they showed all the girls paired up with a date one each but they left KeKe (Aisha) the only African American girl out of this scene no date, yes the characters are mainly all white but WOW!! my grandbaby said where is KeKe's friend...Now everyone why couldn't they find an African American male to go out with her instead they just didn't show her at all with a date tell me what was I to say to my grandbaby take a look at this film it's so out of place, I would have rated this movie very good but that part in the scene was not call for and my 3 year old brought it to my attention..

  • I don't think that my girls have ever seen this before, but my youngest just saw the picture of this movie that you have posted and she screamed she wanted it LOL
