I am very picky when it comes to fans over two things: sound and appearance. I don’t want the fan to look out of place, I just feel like if it is ugly then I won’t want it out in the open. Lasko makes “pretty” fans in my opinion and they are a brand I trust. We actually have a few Lasko fans throughout our house and I have no complaints. I first used the 16” Stand Fan from Lasko in my garage during a party. It was a hit with my guests! Setting up the fan was super easy, no tools required, just snap all the pieces together. It kept the airflow moving in our 95 degree heat and wasn’t loud and obnoxious! Then the fan moved into our family room and looked sleek alongside our tv entertainment center.
Now we have the fan in the hallway outside my kid’s bedrooms. It fans air into two bedrooms, isn’t an eyesore in the hallway and it is loud enough for a little white noise but not enough that it keeps them up. The remote is nice, but honestly I just click the button on the fan. I will say the base is kinda big and awkward, but I suppose it has to be to keep it from tipping over. Overall though, I love our new Lasko fan and will probably get yet another one for our office.

I am very pleased with the product, however, if you need to order replacement parts (IE: ours damaged when we moved), the process takes forever! I needed 2 front grills for 2 fans. The parts were not available online. I had to call Customer Service. I was on hold 20 min BEFORE anyone answered! I had to call more than once because they wanted different parts # that is not the same as model ID. Each rep I spoke to was nice, but it took forever no matter what time of day I called. Very frustrated.

I wish my fan was working like yours. I purchased the S16201 model which was easy to put together & I agree is a very nice looking fan. The one thing it has going for it is that it's very nice and neat. However, after assembling it following the directions I was discussed. When powered on the vibrations from the fan blade was terrible & the friction eventually caused it to warm up. Using a digital watts tester I tested it against my 12,000 BTU energy saver air conditioner set on Fan ONLY. No the compressor wasn't on during this test. After sleeping 7 hours, in the morning I tested the two against each other and the Lasko stand fan model 16201 on a speed setting of high (Or loud) is using more energy watts than the AC unit set on fan / high. I find this very disturbing and wish I would have chosen a different model.
Not happy with my fan. Model # 1646. VERY hard to assemble....the height adjustment nut is jammed from when I went to put the head assembly on cause I had to push hard. My fan is very short compared to the pictures I have seen. I might as well have a table fan. The front cover went on very hard. It is too much hassle to return it cause I got it online. I have put together many fans in my lifetime and this is by far the worse. Cheap made. I haven't plugged it in yet cause been working on it for hours....hope it at least runs!
