A few weeks ago, Gavin and headed over to Kmart to wach history in the making – Monty (Monternez Rezell of America’s Got Talent) was going to break the Guinness Book of World Records of trying on 150 Halloween costumes within 8 hours. The director said they decided to take on this challenge after realizing just how many Halloween costumes Kmart carried! We even got to chat with the Guinness World Record adjudicator Michael who has a pretty cool job of watching all these records try to get broken!

Starting the challenge:
Now you may say that sounds easy enough (and I thought that too) but after watching a few costumes I knew it was definitely a challenge. Monty started with girl costumes that had multiple pieces (gloves, scarves, hats…) and it was taking him what seemed like a few minutes per costume. Now I didn’t get to see the whole thing since they started late at night (and it was outside in the cold parking lot) but here is a video of the challenge!
He exceeded the goal of 150 costumes and has now set the record for the most costumes changes in less than 8 hours, his record is 155 costumes in 6hrs and 5 mins !!
Don’t forget to check out too Kmart for last minute costumes! Kmart’s newest offer – 50% Halloween costumes valid 10/21-10/31
