My boys love cartoons, but I admit I can’t stand watching the same old cartoons over and over. I am always looking for a new show for them to watch and something that deep down has valuable lessons in it. While yes television is mindless, I figure if I can find cartoons that are at least wholesome with lessons that my boys can understand in it, then it is not as bad for them to watch!
Peppa Pig is a show on Nick JR. (check your local listings to see if its on in your area) that follows the daily adventures of Peppa and her family. Peppa is a loveable, energetic pig girl who lives with her brother George, Mommy Pig and Daddy Pig. She lives in the U.K. And speaks with a cute British accent, but its not a hard to understand accent. She loves all things little kids do: playing games, dressing up, going on trips and jumping in muddy puddles. Her adventures are always fun and there is lots of laughter (and some snorts!)
The one thing I hate though is when my boys find a show they like and I can’t find any merchandise for it. Well Peppa Pig has just launched a new line of toys and books at Toys “R” Us, perfect for the upcoming holiday season!

The Playhouse opens up to reveal 4 floors of play space including Bedroom, Living Room, Kitchen and Bathroom. The Playhouse comes with over 18 play pieces including 2 articulated figures (Peppa and George). Play pieces include lots of little surprises – washing machine flips to reveal clean clothes, fridge opens up to reveal food, barbecue flips for different meals, bathtub flips to reveal bubbles and more. This is an adorable playhouse that comes with 18 pieces, which all store neatly inside. It is small enough to carry around, but big enough for a few kids to play at! It is an adorable set I know my kids will be playing with for awhile. It is not overtly girly either, so my boys enjoy it. I just love how everything fits inside and I can carry it neatly to another room. For a Peppa fan, this would be a great gift since its something unique and full of Peppa fun!

Olivia, my 14 month old, loves her new Peppa Pig plush. She drags her around throughout the house and laughs hysterically when we squeeze Peppa’s tummy. The oinks are the cutest and even I laugh at it. She says tons of phrases and she is lightweight yet durable. She is not machine-washable but spot cleans well.

This is a small pack of Peppa and her friend Suzie riding a bicycle. It is small plastic figurines perfect to add to a collection of other figurines (including Peppa Pig figures) or to play with on its own. Olivia zooms this around and think its silly that two kids go on the bike. It is actually the perfect addition to the dollhouse playlet too.

This is an adorable hardcover picture book full of great illustrations and storyline. It is perfect for any Peppa Pig fan or just a cute Christmas book for any child. I am sure I will be reading this more as we get closer to Christmas, of course with a British accent.
