Yummy Quaker Popped Snacks Review

Snacking is a second nature to me and my family, so I am trying to buy foods that are at least somewhat okay for us.  For breakfast we usually start our mornings with cereal or oatmeal and Quaker is our oatmeal of choice.  Snacktime is something my family and usually grab some chips to snack on, and Quaker has now taken over our snack time!

Quaker has introduced Quaker Popped to their line of products, which is a wholesome solution for those snack-time cravings! Quaker Popped are like mini-rice cakes but lighter and packed with whole grain brown rice and corn. Their deliciousness included 10-13 grams of whole grain per serving and zero grams of trans fat. Oh and they are not fried, so yes they are lower in fat than those greasy fried foods we sometimes snack on. There is also a flavor for everyone – 14 total flavors in all!

Flavors:

  • Apple Cinnamon
  • BBQ
  • Caramel Corn
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Chipotle Cheddar
  • Chocolate
  • Kettle Corn
  • Ranch
  • Sea Salt and Cracked Black Pepper
  • Sour Cream and Onion
  • Sweet and Salty Mix
  • Sweet Chili
  • Tomato Basil
  • Vanilla Creme Brulee

So far there is not a flavor I don’t like and even my picky kids like them! I put them on our counter in place of our regular potato chips and everyone in my family has ben grabbing them. I feel so much better eating them myself and sharing them with my kids due to their whole grains and low fat.

I will say give these a try even if you think they are too healthy looking or taste like cardboard. They don’t and you will be surprised! My mom is a great example of being skeptical. She tried Quaker Rice Cakes years and years ago and they just didn’t do it for her, they were pretty bland when they first came out. I pushed my mom though to try these and she is now hooked! She couldn’t believe how much flavor was packed in them and that there was so many flavors available!
