My memories of Hanukkah were awesome, my kids were still at home I made Latkas(Potato Pancakes) and we sang songs and lit the Menorah.
This year should be pretty special. My boys are 2 this year so they should be able to understand more.
I love listening to my kids describe Hanukkah to their friends...to them it's all about gelt. I also love when my daughter calls it, "the star of Davis".
I didn't grow up with Hanukkah, but my husband did. He has great memories of special family nights, and lighting the candles.
I remember playing dreidl and collecting the gelt. And getting stuffed on latkes overflowing with apple sauce.
frying latkas FOREVER last year at my daughter's first night party! lol
