Super Friends Joker’s Fun House Game {Review}

My boys love love super heroes, unfortunately all we have are action figures and cars featuring them.  Now a board game featuring their favorite superheroes, yes that would be cool.  Well Wonder Forge has led the way with a super cool game called The Joker Fun House Game.

Super Friends Joker’s Fun House Game

Calling all Super Friends: The Joker is up to his usual tricks, and he must be stopped! Superman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and Batman team up, calling on their special powers — X-ray vision, lightning speed, force fields, and the Batarang — to dodge The Joker’s gags and stop him in his tracks before he reaches the getaway car. The Fun House game board is supercharged with preschool play power: a wacky rolling ball, secret messages, and a launchingBatarang will draw young super heroes into the action.

Promotes:

  • Shape identification and puzzle building
  • Fine motor skills
  • Sorting and matching

This is probably the only really board game geared towards boys that we have, not that girls can’t play it.  Setting up the game is super easy and my boys (4 and 5) can actually set it up now on their own.  You need at least two players, one will be Joker and the other will be all superheros (yes all the superheroes need to be used) but up to three other players can play (for a total of five players.)

So each player takes a turn spinning the spinner and moves.  The superheroes move to the colored spot they spin and then when he lands on a Power space, the fun begins.  Each superhero has his own “power” , which is easy to remember after a few tries.

  • Superman uses X-ray glasses to look at the Joker cards
  • Green Lantern using a force field to block the ball Joker throws from knocking down the superheroes
  • Batman using the Batarang Shooter to try to knock down the Joker
  • Flash moves to the next Power space

The mission is to get to the end of the board game before the Joker reaches the end of the top walkway.  On Joker’s turn he gets to either drop the ball to try to bowl down the superheroes or he picks a card.  The Joker cards help me move more spaces.

This is truly a fun game and one that my boys are so excited to play.  We are learning to take turns, colors, and how its okay to loose or win.  I highly recommend this game if you are looking for a board game for your superhero fan.  The game reminds me of a cross between Chutes & Ladders and Candyland.

Don’t let Joker get to the Get Away Hatch!

Game stores nicely in box:

BUY IT:  The Joker Fun House Game can be purchased for a suggested retail price of $19.99 at your local mass retailer, including Toys R Us, Target, Walmart, Amazon, Kohl’s and more.
