Trouble was one of my favorite games as a child and now that my boys are getting into board games I am looking for ones that I liked as a child yet they appeal to them now. SpongeBob Squarepants Trouble is of course a game that appealed to both of us.

Steal the SECRET Krabby Patty recipe, but don’t get caught! The classic game of pop-o-matic fun takes a twist through Bikini Bottom as you race around the board to get safely home. Beware of your opponent as you move around the board and they attempt to bump you back to start! Ages 5+
SpongeBob Trouble is a very simple game where you have your little Plankton pieces and need to move them around the board and back to the home spot. What I love is that there is not only no dice to loose, but there is the fun little popping bubble in the middle. You do have to keep track of all the Plankton pieces but thats nothing a Ziploc bag won’t hold. As far as durability goes the board game is a thinner cardboard material held together so it is not the sturdiest but like I said it is a simple game. If you have over-eager kids (like mine) you may have some issues with the Plankton pieces falling over since the bubble-popping can shake the game board if you are too rough, but we didn’t have too many problems once we were careful. The gameboard is fun though and its hard not to smile when playing it. Trouble is a perfect game for young kids since there is no reading required and it teaches patience, taking turns, and decision making. Overall, this is a fun family board game and perfect for any SpongeBob fan!
