When my first child was born I used detergent specially formulated for babies and their sensitive skin, but I often wondered about a fabric softener that was safe.  I thought using a regular fabric softener would defeat the purpose of using the safe children’s detergent.

Finally Purex has done it again and created exactly what I have been looking for!  Purex has added Purex Crystals for Baby to their Purex Crystals line.  It was created with babies’ gentle skin in mind while still keeping their laundry fresh feeling and smelling.

If you have never used Purex Crystals before, all you do is pour the crystals right into your washing machine before you add clothes.  I was skeptical at first to add it to my High Efficiency washing machine but those little crystals work like magic!  Maybe its because they are a solid that dissolves but they have a fragrance that I can smell.

Its not an overpowering smell, but just a soft fresh smell I’d want on my baby’s clothes.  Being safe for children’s sleepwear is also a plus because certain softeners can wear away the clothes flammability.  I love that I can start and end my laundry with Purex and its available at a price I can afford.
