Customize Your Ride With Radio Flyer Build-A-Trike

When my middle child was younger I got the chance to check out the Radio Flyer 4-in-1 Trike which basically is a tricycle that grows with your child from you pushing them to them riding off on their own.  Don’t get me wrong, we love it but I did think how cool it would be to add some accessories.  Well now Radio Flyer has introduced the Build-A-Trike program which allows users to customize a tricycle with over 1,500+ combinations to meet each family’s needs and styles.  The tricycles come in either Red or Pink and are seriously adorable with all the options you can add, ranging from a total of $75 for a base model to $215 for all the accessories for the Build-A-Trike.  Oh and the ages are as young as 9 months up to 5 years old.

The process:

• BUILD:  Choose from red or pink solid steel frame; classic or air tires; and add a store bucket that closes or open mesh basket.

• CUSTOMIZE:  Select from six fashion coordinated accessories including UV blocking canopy, comfy seatpad and parent pouch.  Other accessories include a headrest and seatbelt, wraparound tray with sippy cup holder, classic bell and a MP3 speaker case.  You can also add a nameplate for the ultimate custom touch.

• PERSONALIZE:  Each Build-A-Trike ships with a special red envelope containing a personal gift message, owner’s certificate with photo of your trike and a thank you note from Radio Flyer’s Chief Wagon Officer.

Here is the one I customized, right down to the nameplate saying “Olivia”, the total is $190 which is not bad considering the almost five years you can use the trike!  I like the Parent Pouch as often I am trying to juggle my cell phone and snacks and push the tricycle, I love the mesh basket as it looks like it holds a lot, I love the fabric and pink frame and finally I love the actual “air” tires for a smoother ride.  Overall though I am bias because everything I have from Radio Flyer I love!
