Now that warm weather is starting to slowly makes its way to Chicago, I couldn’t be more excited! I did start thinking though am I prepared for summer? With warm weather means no long pants or shirts to cover up my dry skin, my kids running around like crazy outside therefore cutting themselves and falling, and sunscreen. Thankfully Johnson & Johnson Family of Consumer Companies has my family covered with all the essentials from sunburns and scrapes to itchy allergy eyes! Ugh I forgot about my allergies, add that to something I am not looking forward to! Every year the warm weather comes out of nowhere here (like how it was in the 70s the other day and now its in the 40s) and I am scrambling to make a list for the store. It is inevitable that I will have run out of something from last year, something will have expired, or I won’t be able to find what I need! I was cleaning the other day and I found three bottles of expired NEOSPORIN! So that meant I couldn’t find it, bought another one, lost that one and so forth!
This year I am making a designated spot in our bathroom for a “Get Outdoors Family Survival Kit!” I am going to put all the products in a clear box from the dollar store and make sure everyone in my family knows where it is. I guess I never realized how many products we use everyday are part of the Johnson & Johnson’s family of products. Since I trust Johnson & Johnson and my mom did (and so forth) I know I can rest assure that my family’s skin will be protected.
The kit will include:
AVEENO® PROTECT + HYDRATE™ SPF 30 ($9.99): Sun protection is a must for safely enjoying the outdoors! ENVIROGUARD™ Technology offers long-lasting, photostable UVA/UVB sun protection, while ACTIVE NATURALS® Oat works to replenish the skin barrier compromised by dehydration caused by sun, chlorine, salt water and sweat.
BAND-AID® Brand Flexible Fabric Bandages featuring QUILTVENT® Technology ($4.79): Cuts and scrapes are bound to happen while enjoying the outdoors. Keep ‘em covered with QUILTVENT® Technology, which creates air channels to let your wound breathe while protecting it from dirt and germs.
BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages featuring Jake and the Never Land Pirates and Hello Kitty® ($3.00): Protect your little one’s cuts and scrapes from dirt and germs with their favorite characters, making wound protection fun and easy.
NEOSPORIN® NEO TO GO!® ($5.94): From soccer matches to a day at the beach, tote this tiny antiseptic and pain-relieving spray to any activity for all those unexpected cuts and scrapes! The durable container resists crushing and fits anywhere – purse, pocket, backpack, travel bag – to go with you wherever you go.
VISINE®-A® Eye Allergy Relief ($6.39): Eye allergies won’t keep you away from the outdoors this spring! With both an antihistamine and redness reliever, these drops provide fast, powerful relief for red, itchy, watery allergy eyes and puffy eyelids caused by allergens like ragweed, grass, pollen and dander.
CAREFREE® ACTI-FRESH™ Liners ($3.49): Hello, blue skies and beach chairs! Unwind without the worry with these thin and absorbent pantyliners, which boast an odor control system to keep you fresh for up to 8 hours while exercising, traveling or enjoying any other outdoor activities this spring and summer.
Johnson & Johnson RED CROSS® Brand Hospital Grade Gauze Pads ($3.49): For all those injuries you just can’t avoid, be sure to dress them with these gauze pads featuring QUICK-LOC™ Technology, a low-lint design, 16 layers of pillow-soft cushioning, and an anti-leak core that instantly absorbs and pulls fluids away from minor cuts, scrapes and burns.
Johnson & Johnson RED CROSS® Paper Tape ($4.49): Always be prepared with this first-aid essential! This tape firmly secures dressings around wounds and is latex-free, breathable, and dermatologically tested for sensitive skin.
