Hair is something I have a love/hate relationship with. I love it on my head but I hate it everywhere else! It is amazing too how as I get older my body hair gets worse and worse. It pops up in strange places, changes texture and basically becomes stubborn. I feel like the same shaving I have done for years just isn’t working as good as it used to. Since shaving wasn’t cutting it (haha) anymore, I have been looking for something new to try. Then I heard about the Pearl Hair Remover by Viatek and I figured it was worth a shot. Other than razors, the only thing for hair remover that I have tried is some creams years ago so and to be honest I was skeptical about an electric hair remover.
The Pearl Hair Remover is a safe, easy and painless way of removing hair at home. It uses a revolutionary technology to remove hair without the use of harsh chemicals, sticky messes or expensive doctor visits. It works on all hair types and skin color for professional quality at home. Now I cannot attest to it being professional quality as I never went to have hair removed professionally, but it does work for me.
Setting up the Pearl Hair Remover is super easy. Right out of the box it comes charged and ready to go. Just snap on one of the two sized tips and turn on. Then you just swipe it across your skin surface. As the Pearl glides across your skin, thermotransmitters radiate heat down into the hair follicles, crystallizing the hair to disrupt its growth. It removes the hair and then slows the growth for longer lasting results without irritation.
I have tried the Pearl Hair Remover on my face, underarms and legs and honestly I was surprised at the results. Now the Pearl is not 1-2-3, you do have to work on it and it does take time, but after using it a few times on different parts of my body it is working.
I warn you this is a disturbing picture! This is a picture of my leg after a few days or so of not shaving:
Here is the After results. You can see on the left is un-touched and the right side is after using the Pearl (don’t mind that my legs are dry):
Afterwards it is recommend to use a moisturizer or the included Soothing Serum:
Normally I have to shave pretty much every day, but after using the Pearl I have been able to stretch out hair removal to closer to once a week. My hair definitely feels like it is coming in finer and less of it. Normally my hair is very thick and the Pearl does seem to be working on it. Like I said though the Pearl does take longer to use, but I found that the time I spend using it is probably less than shaving every day. I am hoping with continuous use that my body hair will get even finer and thinner. I don’t expect miracles for the one-time price of $200 but I am happy with the results I am getting from it. Oh and you may be wondering if it hurts? Nope not at all! I thought it would burn but it doesn’t hurt at all. It does though have a smell, like a burning smell, but I don’t know if I am getting used to it or if it is lessening as I am using it. Other than the smell, there is no pain and with some practice it is working just great for me. I am definitely continuing to use it and hopefully by summer I will not be such a hairy beast!

how is this in comparison with an epilator (pros and cons). thank you!
i think this is better than epilators because it doesn't hurt ..for me it's enough to consider buying it :-))
i think it's a great product from this review but i have to try it to be sure.. thank you!
Hi I have just purchased the pearl hair removal system and it burns my leg sometimes as I am using it. My question is what am I doing wrong because it definitely is not painless would love to hear any comments thanks
Tracey
In oz this product is over $300 with delivery an absolute rip off compared with Singapore or USA 2-3 times as much ,its a cheap design and not easy to use it a very expensive razor. The hair does take slightly longer to grow back and only now 3 months later Ive noticed that the coarse hair on the one leg i treated does have noticeably less the the other so i think long term it is a true hair removal but for the price and how long will this product will last and whats the replacement cost of the rollers its not value for money
I bought the pearl 3 days ago. Read the instruction manual all the way through. Started using it after the recommended time of charge. I did everything it said. It seriously did nothing, even after I used the buffing pads and moisturized. It said on the adds it leaves you with silky smooth skin that you would love to touch all the time. It left me with spiky legs and arms. I hadn't shaved for weeks so my hair was at the recommended length. It did nothing at all except for smoke and smell of burnt hair, which is what is normal, it means it is working when it is doing that, but it did not leave me with smooth skin at all. Far from it. It burnt only the tip of the hairs off.
I tried it on my arms where my hairs on there are much thinner. It worked better on my arms but still had the spiky feel, no matter how many times I went over it! I thought I'd give it another chance the next day because my under arms is one of the main reasons I bought it, my underarms are never smooth. I shave them with a razor and the next morning I have to shave them again. So I tried using the pearl under there, it did nothing at all! It didn't get anything. It was just uncomfortable felt like scraping plastic under there against my hairs. They were long too. I tried it on my bikini line and it did nothing. It seems it doesn't work at all on thicker hair. I tried it on my bf's back who is quite hairy. I went over the one spot of hair patch so many times and it burnt a couple then that was it. And his hair on his body is long. Also when I would use it, it would burn me every now and then. When I first place it on my skin sometimes it would give me a burn zap, which I got scared of and tried being more careful but it stil got me. It says its not meant to be painful? It is everything opposite of what they are selling it for. And they want $300 for it? Scam!
I use a razor and I hate it so much when I cut my skin with it.
I wax @ home, is awkward trying to do backs of legs would like to try the Pearl for bikini n legs
enough with this shaving and threading I want something that save my time. I need pearl hair remover badly.
How long it takes to work with one leg?
Most of girls don't like to spend so much time for epilating...like waxing, and use instead a razor for fast results.
Its probably about 40 minutes per leg which yes is a long time! I have done it while watching tv or a movie. It does last longer than shaving alone though.
I use a razor
