During the summer my three kids are constantly running in opposite directions. One wants to be in the front yard, one in the backyard and the other inside in the toy room. So lunchtime and dinnertime is definitely a challenge since I am usually running inside and outside trying to watch all of them. I am constantly looking for quick meals I can make for my family that are healthy and simple. My kids are picky but one thing they all agree on is chicken, and really how could you not like chicken! It is such a versatile food and my go-to meat. So anyways this summer I am all about convenience and a health factor, which can be pretty hard to find. One product I did find though that satisfies our needs are Tyson Grilled and Ready chicken products. These products are found both in the freezer and refrigerated section and include different varieties of flavor and cuts. Whether I am looking for strips, chunks or diced chicken, Tyson Grilled and Ready is so versatile perfect for my needs. While yes I can cook up my own chicken breasts and cut them how I need them, it is super nice to have the chicken already ready. It is a chicken I can cook in minutes rather than standing at the stove to ensure the chicken is cooked all the way through and flipped over. Yes the Tyson chicken is already Fully Cooked, it just needs to be heated up!
So anyways, I headed to my local Walmart to shop for some essentials for this holiday weekend and I wanted something I can make quickly since we have a busy weekend. I found some Tyson Grilled and Ready in the refrigerated section of our deli, but they were small bags probably for one person. I headed to the freezer section since I am all about bulk products for my family of five. I guess I noticed before but there are a lot of frozen chicken products available and even the Tyson Grilled and Ready products had me standing their deciding which variety I wanted. So frozen food is sometimes automatically discounted as not-healthy but that’s not always the case (and everyone has their own opinions anyways on what is and isn’t healthy.) First since its grilled it is of course better than fried chicken. Second this Tyson chicken variety contains no preservatives and is 97% fat free.
My other new favorite product is flatbreads and they are another product my kids are crazy about! So I decided I would make little flatbread wrap with my favorite light, summer ingrediants.
Ingredients:
Directions:
Cook chicken either on the stove or in the microwave.
While the chicken is cooking for its few minutes, cut up the mozzarella and tomatoes you want to use.
Place all the ingredients in the flatbread and drizzle with olive oil.
Its funny because I love Caprese as is but with the Tyson chicken it gives it that extra protein and flavor. This is a perfect light but hearty lunch or dinner! I made the whole thing in about seven minutes, perfect for a busy mom who wants a healthy and quick meal.
