Learn, Laugh and Play with the Schoolies! {Review} #Schoolies

Disclosure:  I received the product in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
Ever since I was little I have always loved books and when I had kids I had hoped I had passed that onto them.  Honestly with all our devices (iPad, LeapPad, Kindle Fire) my boys are not very much into actual books but rather like eBooks.  My daughter though absolutely loves books and I often find her in a corner somewhere flipping thru her books.  I often expect her to be getting into mischief but she is usually sitting so nicely with her books.
When I saw the new line of books featuring the Schoolies, I was absolutely blown away.  These are probably the coolest and cutest books I have ever seen for a child entering school.  My kids (6, 5, and 2) love these books.

Preschoolers will love to meet the colorful and unique cast of Schoolies characters, created by artist and designer Ellen Crimi-Trent and published in Priddy Books’ signature early learning formats.

Books include:

My School Day – From waking up to favorite lessons to the bus ride home, kids will love learning to tell time as they spend a day with the Schoolies. Includes a play clock with moveable hands so young readers can turn to the right time as the Schoolies enjoy their day.

School House – Fold-out pages create four scenes in and around the Schoolies school house. Includes press-out play characters and accessories, plus sticker sheets.

Let’s Get Ready For School – Early learning book with wipe-clean pages so that all of the activities can be repeated, reinforcing learning.

Making Friends and My First Day of School Storybooks – Two reassuring and positive stories about overcoming shyness and being nervous to start school. Books include two sheets of fun Schoolies stickers.

Activity Flash Cards – Neat boxful of 26, double-sided Schoolies activity flash cards to help children learn their ABC, 123, colors, shapes and more.

For ages 3 and up.

These books are colorful, brights, and full of so much.  They may seem a little overwhelming at first for a child but I think it just makes them more appealing.  I have looked through these books over and over, and I still see something new each time!

I really do love each and everyone of these Schoolies products and I wanted to share a quick recap and pictures of each product.

Activity Flash Cards

This set comes in a sturdy cardboard box with 26 two-sided cards and a dry erase marker.  In addition to numbers and letters, there are also cards with shapes and words for your child to trace.  I love how everything stores nicely and neatly in the box.  While these are for ages 3 and up, my just turned 5 year old has been struggling with his writing in preschool and these are perfect for him to practice for kindergarten!

School House

This is a school house playset that folds up nicely into a book.  It contains press-outs to play with and stickers to add to the pages.  Then when your child is done, there is an envelope in the back to store everything in.  This is something I would have totally loved as a child and I know my daughter will love it when she’s ready.  It is so cute how you can stand this book up to open up the different pages.

My School Day

This is a book with a clock on the cover with actual moving hands.  It is a book encouraging kids to match the clock hands on the clocks throughout the pages with the clock on the cover.  This book has a little of everything from weather to school supplies to sizes of things to colors and more!  The pages encourage parents to have discussions with their kids and my boys (5 and 6) really like flipping through all the pages.  They ask lots of questions from reading this book and I love that it is sparking their little brains.  This is a book that I have flipped through tons of times, and each time I see something new!

“My First Day of School” and “Making Friends”

These are both small paperback books that contain stickers and awesome illustrations.  These are perfect books to read anytime to get your child ready for school and making friends.  My boys love having me read these books to them and they of course loved the stickers.

Let’s Get Ready for School

This is a book with 22 wipeable pages and a dry erase marker that clicks into place.  It features numbers, words, time and other activities for kids to tackle.  This is a fun book for kids to carry along and work on whenever and wherever.  I thought my kids would get tired of the activities inside, but they don’t mind doing them over and over.
Overall, I highly recommend these books for any parent of a 3-4 year old.  They are the perfect books and set of cards to get any child excited about school and ready.  I am all about kids practicing their skills and these books really have a lot to offer.  I can’t pick a favorite, but if you just want one of them I don’t feel there is a bad one you can pick.  These books are also gender neutral with their bright bold colors, perfect for any child!  I am actually these to my list of must-buy for any birthday party we attend for a 3-4 year old!
