Finding quality books that kids will enjoy can be hard. The Bella & Harry series makes it easy for parents. They are books that inspire young readers to read and want to explore new things. The books are done through the “comedic and informative” adventures of sibling Chihuahuas Bella and Harry as they travel through various countries. Yes you read that right, Chihuahuas. Each book showcases a different country and adventure that they the fabulous little Chihuahuas will explore.
Edinburgh and Rome are the seventh and eighth books in the series. Paris, Venice, London, Cairo, Athens, Barcelona, Istanbul and Jerusalem are also available.
About Bella & Harry: Let’s Visit Edinburgh
Good day! Join Bella and Harry as they travel to Edinburgh with their family and see Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Botanic Garden and enjoy a trip to Loch Ness to search for Nessie! Along the way local cuisine (such as Dundee cake) and basic Scottish phrases are introduced.
About Bella & Harry: Let’s Visit Rome
Bon giorno! Join Bella & Harry as they travel to Rome with their family and see the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain and other sites. Along the way local cusine (spaghetti and meatballs) and basic Italian words are introduced.
These books are absolutely adorable. From the amazing illustrations to the easy to follow story lines, there is nothing I don’t like about them. Like I said, each book covers a different adventure in a country and the are not only fun to read but so educational. For example “Let’s Visit Edinburgh!” talks about different places and aspects of Scotland culture, but in a way that is a conversation between Bella & Harry. Its like a small encyclopedia but in a way thats perfect for kids to understand. The books are in a hardcover picture book format with just enough inside to get kids interested, and if they are like mine they will want to learn more about that country afterwards! I know I can’t even do them justice explaining them, but they are truly amazing!
