I have said before how much I love Lincoln Logs and when I saw a set in a barrel, I knew we had to have it.  Lincoln Logs has come out with a new set that comes in a collectible storage container that is in the shape of a wood barrel!  It is honestly adorable!

Build a home on the range! Lincoln Logs® Redfield Ranch includes 124 real wood logs plus colorful figures and other building accessories. Step-by-step instructions for building a ranch complete with a horse and cowboy figure. Parts come in a newly designed and collectible storage container, so clean-up is quick and easy.

Now we have other Lincoln Logs sets but they usually come in a cardboard box and while it is usually sturdy enough for us to re-use to hold the pieces in they are still cardboard boxes.  This new container is awesome on its own and then add in the 124 pieces it comes with and it is a perfect set for any child.  Whether you are buying this for a new or old Lincoln Log fan, its a great set.  When your kids (or you) are all done with the pieces just toss them inside the barrel and put it away.  Yes there is room too inside for other Lincoln Log pieces which I really like since I could then get rid of the cardboard boxes we had.  Everything fits nicely inside and empties out just fine.

I have three kids (2, 5 and 6) and I am amazed at how nicely they play with their Lincoln Logs.  There are all so curious and determined to build with those little wooden log pieces.  I love that they are just like I remember them from my own childhood but now there are so many extra pieces in the sets and varieties available.
