Loving Our Motorola Two-Way Radios {Review}

During the summer we are out a lot.  Whether we are just at home outside, at an amusement park, zoo or even grandma’s house, we are on the go a lot.  My boys (5 and 6) are too young and irresponsible for cell phones that I was drawing a blank on how to communicate with them.  Then I saw an ad for walkie talkies and realized that was exactly what I was looking for!  Not only are walkie talkies great for kids to play with and use, but they are good for parents to communicate with kids.  Oh and looking for a way to communicate at a zoo, while hiking, camping or even driving, walkie talkies are perfect!

Flashlight:

So far we have tested these walkie talkies at our local zoo, house and neighborhood.  My kids take them to play with outside and think its the coolest thing to talk to each other from the front yard to the back yard.  We also use them a lot when they go to the neighbors house next door, that way I can “call” them when its time to come home or if they need something they don’t have to keep bothering their friend’s mom to call me.  My boys have even left one at the neighbors house so the kids can talk to each other, which was a little strange to hear the neighbor girls voice at 7 AM in my house but they got a kick out of it.

These Motorola Two-Way Radios are perfect whether you are looking for something for adults or kids, they are so heavy duty that they seem like they are going to last through anything.  As far as using them goes, they are pretty basic to use and once they are both on the same frequency you are good to go.  The quality is super clear and we didn’t have too many call drops, it depends on the terrain of the area how far the range will go.  Overall though for the price of less than $100 I would recommend these for any family. I don’t have any real walkie talkie experience to compare them to but I am impressed with the quality, durability and ease of use.  Oh and they do charge quickly too and at the same time with the two port USB cord.
