Getting Fit with the HOOPERSIZE Hula Hoop {Review}

A few months ago I bought my kids their first hula hoop.  Granted it was cheap and nothing fancy, but it lasted about two days before it was bent out of shape and I had to throw it away.  I hadn’t realized how cheap a hula hoop could really be and why it would be worth spending some extra money on it.

Well I could either keep buying cheap hula hoops or I could invest in a HOOPERSIZE Fit Kit.  I say “invest” only because its about $40 for the one hula hoop, but you do get two DVDs featuring award-winning fitness music videos featuring Miss Kellee & the KidTribe as well as one music CD.

So what did we think of HOOPERSIZE?  We love it!  First it comes in a small box and you snap the pieces together to make a big hula hoop.  It is weighted just right and its durable!  By durable I mean hard plastic that is not going to bend or break, the kit actually says its indestructible which I am sure my kids will be testing that fact out!  Its thicker, heavier and sturdier than typical hoops and its bigger size (diameter) makes it surprisingly easier to do tricks and hoop for longer periods of time.  Like I mentioned too the kit does come with DVDs and a CD with 12 instructional games, dances and music to HOOPERSIZE to!  Need more than one hoop?  You can buy additional hoops for just $24.95 plus shipping and handling.

I had never heard of KidTribe before but their music has become so popular that it has taken to be called Hoopapalooza, which has grown to be a popular school award assembly program seen by over 3.5 million kids and teachers.  So popular actually that it has been a staple at the White House Easter Egg Roll since 2010!  Now parents can take the energy and fun of KidTribe’s live show home with them in the HOOPERSIZE kit!

I admit I have used our HOOPERSIZE hoop, after the kids go to bed though so I don’t have to fit for a turn!  My boys love this hoop and I love that I don’t have to worry about it breaking.  The DVDs are truly fun and the music is so fun to listen to!  It gets my kids up and moving and they don’t even realize it!  Not that my kids need a push to be active but this kit really makes it fun, whether we use the DVDs or CDs or just the hoop alone.  It is though a great value at $40 when you consider that you are getting a hoop, two DVDs and a CD.
