5 Tips On Pampering At Home & Eucerin {Review}

My spa days are long gone (not that I ever really had them) but I do try to pamper myself at home every now and then.    As a busy mom of three I don’t have a lot of time nor money to pamper myself but I do what I can.

Here are my five tips for pampering:

• Invest in a good body lotion and use it!  While I don’t use it everyday like I should (especially in the crazy Chicago weather) I do try use lotion every other day.  I also prefer a scented one but I know not everyone likes scented ones.

• Invest in a good face moisturizer.  Like I said I don’t use a body lotion every day, but I do use a face moisturizer every day.  I feel naked without my face cream and since I don’t wear makeup I like to at least even out my skin.  I also like my face cream to have SPF in it since I often forget sunscreen on my face.

• Give yourself a manicure and/or pedicure.  I don’t do manicures (I bite my nails) but I found that by just repainting my toes and cleaning them up I feel more upbeat.  Something about perfect toe nail polish just makes me smile.

• Wear some form of makeup everyday.  I can’t tell you the last time I “put on my whole face” foundation and all, but I do wear eyeliner everyday.  Even if it is just me at home I just feel so much better when I am wearing eyeliner.  I feel less frumpy, even if I am wearing sweats and my hair is greasy.  Not an eyeliner kinda girl?  Even some lightly colored chapstick can make a difference!

• Speaking of showering, take a shower you will enjoy! I am not a bath person but I do love a good shower.  I can either rush and a take a quick shower before the kids go to school or I can wait until they are in school and my youngest is napping and take a long shower.  I like yummy smelling body wash and hair products and I put on some Pandora on my phone and I take a shower where no one is going to barge in and I don’t have to rush!

So two of my tips revolved around a face cream and a body lotion and for those two areas I am loving Eucerin right now.  I got to try a few of their products and love them!

First to figure out which products were right for me I filled out a few questions on the Eucerin Skindicator.  It asks questions about what parts of your body your concerned about, your dryness level, skin conditions you may suffer from and your age.  From there you can have a better idea of which Eucerin products might be right for you, since they have a whole product line.

I think my favorite of all the products is the Daily Protection Face Lotion.  As I said I am terrible at putting sunscreen on my face and I love how this has SPF 30 in it as well as a light moisturizer.  Its not greasy or oily and I don’t feel weighed down.  It goes on smoothly and I love the gentle protection for my face from the sun and the moisturizing power.  The Body Lotion is great, but I admit it I don’t use it as much as I should!  I will be really using it though come winter when my skin is so dry that its cracking.  The Smoothing Repair is a little thicker lotion and I like to use it for those extra dry days I have or on chapped areas like my hands and elbows.  Finally the Original Healing Soothing Cream is the perfect size for my diaper bag or purse and I love that I can use it on my son who gets Excema patches on his legs.  It is a very rich cream and since it goes on thick it works its magic while soothing your skin.

So whatever your beauty routine is or however you pamper yourself, Eucerin has a product for all skin issues and concerns!  I also like to think of it as my “fancy lotion” since its so thick and soothing.
