Clean the Unseen With a Soniclean Vacuum {Review}

Disclosure: I received this product to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

A vacuum that features both suction and sonic technology to really clean your floors?  I was intrigued as to what exactly “sonic technology” would do for my floors that other vacuums don’t.  Well the Soniclean VTplus vacuum cleans your carpets using 12,000 vibrations per minute to effectively dislodge and remove not only surface dirt and dust, but also microscopic particles embedded deep within the floor.  You know the particles that contain bacteria, allergens and other grossness that is embedded into your carpeting, yeah sonic technology works to get rid of it.

Soniclean VTplus Upright Vacuum Cleaner

Some Features:

  • Patented Sonic cleaning technology – 12,000 vibrations per minute scrubbing
  • Direct air motor design for superior sucking
  • Green technology high efficiency direct air “Paramagnetic” vacuum motor – uses 50% less electricity than many full size vacuums
  • Lightweight – only 10.5 lbs.
  • Seal Tech HEPA filter bags offer 99.7% filtration at .3 microns – the bags are also easy to dispose of and change out
  • Patent pending Sonicfreh frangrance dispensing system
  • Two seperate modes for cleaning – carpet and hard floors – just flip a switch to turn the sonic power on or off
  • Ergonomic handle for comfort grip
  • 35 ft. power cord with quick release cord holder
  • Sophistacted jam sensor technology automatically shuts off the vacuum when it senses a jam
  • Full bag indicator light alerts you when its time to change your filter bag
  • Lays flat to the floor for easy cleaning under couches, beds and so forth
  • Three year motor and parts warranty and Lifetime warranty on vacuum belt

So what do I think of the Soniclean vacuum?  It is definitely powerful.  I love the use of sonic technology as I have a sonic toothbrush and I can feel when it breaks up food particles in my teeth so I can only imagine what it is doing within my carpet.  With three kids ages 6 and under, you can probably imagine how gross my floors can get and I guess I never really thought about all the ground in dirt.  I kinda went with the “if you can’t see it can’t hurt you” logic, but with my son having asthma and just the general health of my kids, I have been looking for ways to really deep clean my house.  I don’t want a vacuum I have to keep running over my floors to pick up dirt, I want it to pick it up on the first try and really clean it.  The Soniclean even states that it cleans 91% better than the Dyson DC41, the results were from a cleaning ability study done.

The blue bar is for the sonic vibrations:

Using the Soniclean is really a breeze.  No attachements falling off, a super long power cord that allows me to do a few rooms before unplugging and its lightweight so its easy to push.

Here is a quick video I made showing off using the Soniclean:

I love the cord length as yes I am lazy when it comes to plugging into another room often I will only vacuum as far as my cord allows.  The jam sensor is pretty awesome too, especially when you have kids who constantly leave socks and toys all over the floor and under the couches.

The only feature I don’t really like is that it is not bagless, meaning I have to go buy bags to replace it with, but I understand the logic behind it.  If the vacuum is bagless then when you empty the container there will be dust particles escaping in the air, the Soniclean bag traps the dirt at an almost 100% filtration rate and you just throw the whole bag away.  I do like though that it alerts me to when I have to change the bag as in the past I never knew when to change the bag and would either do it too early or when it exploded into my vacuum (yes that happened.)  I also miss having a wand to vacuum under my couches (there is a metal frame piece that I have to go over and in-between to clean under them) but I have just been moving my couches completely to vacuum under them, it is actually probaly getting them much more cleaner than using a hose alone anyways.

BUY IT:  The Soniclean VTplus Upright Vacuum Cleaner can be purchased on Amazon or direct through http://www.mysoniclean.com.

  • Wow, these is an awesome vacuum! I sorta wish I knew about this one because I just purchased one, but this seems superior to every vacuum I've researched and at a lower price than some of the high-end ones. I also like that it alerts you when the bag needs changed and I like the fragrance feature and the lifetime warranty on the belt (something I've had issues with in the past). I will save this for future reference when I need to purchase a new vacuum. Thanks!

  • This looks nice. I like the two seperate modes for cleaning – carpet and hard floors – just flip a switch to turn the sonic power on or off, that it's lightweight and that the cord is long a retractable. I also like that it lets you know when the bag needs changing.
