Getting Crafty with PomTree Constructive Play Kits

I have said it before but I am not a crafty mom.  I am trying but I need guidance.  I admit too that I don’t like anything messy and with my boys I try to avoid paint and glue!  Well a new line of craft kits from PomTree features exactly what a busy or non-crafty mom needs!  PomTree actually did a study and found that “54% of parents polled by Toy News said their children use arts and crafts at least once a week but many more said they would craft with their kids if it weren’t so messy!”  Craft time doesn’t have to be messy or stressful!

PomTree offers innovative make-and-play sets.  The sets feature foam, felt and fun stickers and each set is sure to inspire creativity in any child.  Whether your child customizes the set to how they want it or follow the directions, each set is simply adorable!  What is the best part though is no additional supplies are needed!  No glue, no tape, and no scissors!

I got the chance to review two of the 3-D Playtown Creativity Kits.  Basically once kids are done building they can then play with their brand new toy set!

Swing-A-Long Playset

This set comes with 107 pieces and is definitely one an adult will need to help with.  There are lots of little pieces you need to pop out, string to tie (for the swings) and pieces to bend.  I honestly had a little trouble getting this one together on my own, I couldn’t keep my hands steady enough to get everything right.  I actually got most of it down before my 2 year old decided to re-decorate it, which is why its not completely finished yet.  The sets are recommended for ages 5 and up.  ($9.99)

Sweet Sundaes Ice Cream Truck

This Ice Cream Truck comes with a truck to assemble, a sundae stand and little pieces.  There are 117 pieces total.  With this kit being for ages 5 and up, my 5 year old son had no problem completing it.  Again my 2 year old got to part of it, but the truck is still in-tact.  The truck is actually surprisingly sturdy!  ($9.99)

I also got the chance to check out a Backyard Bugs Sticker Bucket.  It contains 434 various stickers all about bugs!  My kids love stickers and they have been sticking this little guys everywhere!  I love how there are felt ones (with backs you peel off to stick) as well as regular stickers.  Plus over 400 stickers is definitely going to keep them busy for awhile!  ($6.99)
