Playmobil Pop Stars Stage {Review}

So I’m not sure how but we have never owned a Playmobil set.  With three kids I feel like we have had at least one thing from every big toy company, but Playmobil was not one of them and that is unfortunate.  After playing with the Playmobil Pop Stars Stage set I can see why Playmobil has been so successful and it makes me want to go on a Playmobil shopping spree!

Play a sold out show featuring your own tunes with the PLAYMOBIL PopStars! Stage. This MP3-compatible set allows young pop stars to belt out their favorite lyrics, drum up awesome beats, and wow crowds with radical guitar solos. Just hook up an MP3 player with the enclosed cable and choose your favorite chart topper. Set includes four figures, stage with flashing lights, drum set, two guitars with guitar stands, microphones, two preloaded tunes, built-in speakers, and other accessories. Recommended for ages four to ten.

So having absolutely no other Playmobil pieces in our house I was worried this set wouldn’t be fun for my kids, but actually it is a great set all on its own!  It comes with four Playmobil people and even if this is the only Playmobil set your child will ever own, it will still be amazing.  What is great is after your child (or you) builds the stage they can then plug in a MP3 player to hear their music!  Don’t have a MP3 player for your child, there is still a button they can push for music that is included – although it is a lot more fun to hear your own music.

Assembling the set was pretty easy and the directions are very clear.  The only mistake I made is I put the sticker on the drum set on too quickly and its now upside down when put together.  So it is important to follow the directions and not be rushed.  The set holds together quite well but it also comes apart easily for storage.  A cord is included to attach to any MP3’s headphone jack and there is no special app or anything to download.  We loaded up Pandora for the kids and all of mine had a blast.  From my 2 year old to my 6 year old, it is a fun little set with just enough pieces for a couple kids to play together.
