Transformers Construct-Bots {Review}

Disclosure:  I received the product below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Don’t get me wrong Transformers are cool and I remember my brothers playing with them when I was little, but they needed a makeover for today’s generation.  New Transformers Construct-Bots are just that.  They are Transformers that you can construct, covert and create to build the Transformer each child had in mind.  I know my one son likes to mix and match pieces to build guys and my other son is all about weapons on his guys.  With the new Transformers Construct-Bots they are both happy!

For the first time, Transformers fans can construct, customize and convert their very own Bots!  Transformers Construct-Bots are the newest innovation from Hasbro–each Transformers Construct-Bots figure includes a robot frame, armor, weapons, and accessory parts to let kids build and customize their own Transformers robot action figure. To enhance the Transformers play experience, each Construct-Bots figure can quickly and easily convert from robot to vehicle and back without taking it apart. Plus, all parts are interchangeable between all Transformers Construct-Bots figures, so there’s almost no limit to what kids can create!

Now there are a few different sets of Transformers Construct-Bots available including Scout ($9.99), Elite ($14.99) and Triple Changer Figure Assortment ($24.99.)  I got the chance to review an Elite and a Scout set, and really they are about the same to me. The Elite figure I received does have eight more pieces than the Scout, which goes to say that yes the Scout set at $9.99 is comparable to the Elite set which is $5 more.  It all depends on how many pieces your kids want to have to be able to build and interchange and if they want a specific Transformer character.  My kids had no preference and are happy with any of them!  I will say though what is especially nice about the Elite line is that is comes with a storage tray, which is a light plastic tray that snaps together.  I love when products come with a way to store them!

These figures are pretty cool.  Not only can you build them, construct them actually, but you can transform them right then and there.  No taking apart and rebuilding them like other figures you build.  Each figure is also a decent size at about 8-9 inches tall.  Lots of fun building them on their own and then you can transform them or take them apart and mix and match to make a new figure!  The possibilities are endless!  I love then that all the pieces can be stored nicely in the purple plastic container that is included with the Elite figure.
