Disclosure: I received the products below in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
Whenever we head to the museums here in Chicago, my kids always beg to get a toy, but by the time we get to the gift shop I am done and ready to head home. We do quickly browse the stores though and I always see so many awesome products that are both unique and ones that you don’t typically find at your big box stores. Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with the plastic toys and popular characters, but there are so many toys out there that get lost in the aisles.
One store that has it all is Museum Tour. It is a one stop shopping site full of amazing products thanks to curators from zoos, aquariums and science centers who have recommended their favorite products. Already known for its fall catalog mailed to 2 million homes, Museum Tour’s online store includes award-winning educational products to extend the museum experience into homes. Museum Tour offers adults the chance to work with their children’s learning style no matter their age, and yes they even have an adult section of products!
Here are the Top 10 Best Bests from Museum Tour:
I got the chance to review the Enchantmints Jewelry Box and a Wondermaze set from Museum Tour and they are definitely a breathe of fresh air.
Every little girl needs a special place for the things she holds dear to her heart. Our Enchantmints™ musical treasure box is illustrated with a beautifully painted scene and is perfect for her dresser. Four cleverly placed drawers are ideal for tucking away secrets. When the hinged top is opened, a rotating unicorn is revealed and “The Unicorn” music plays. An inside mirror and velvet-flocked paper add to its appeal. Box is 6″ x 4″ x 6″.
As a little girl I loved my music box and cherished it. It was just a simple one and small, but it was important to me. The Enchantmints Jewelry Box is not only beautiful on the outside, but it plays a fun song with a twirling unicorn and has a bunch of little compartments. It is the perfect size for a little girl and a box that will definitely surprise her.
The design for WonderMaze was inspired by similar mazes on exhibit in museums across the U.S. Now, you can enjoy it as an attractive construction toy for family room, kitchen, preschool or office. This interactive construction activity for kids is a creative challenge for young minds. Magnetic backing holds gravity slides, angled slopes, spinners and pegs that become active as balls enter the maze. You get a practical introduction to physics without even realizing it.
The WonderMaze is similar to my boys’ favorite museum exhibit. They love it so much that I once considered trying to make my own with cardboard and plastic tubes and magnets. WonderMaze has everything you need and it is actually quite a decent size – it takes up our whole fridge! I broke this out one weekend when my kids were whining about being bored and they seriously played with this set for hours, yes hours!
It comes with four balls (yes we lost 2 for now):
