Powdered Peanut Butter – Genius!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of The Low Carb Grocery for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Did you know that more adults eat peanut butter than kids?  I totally believe that as peanut butter is a comfort food for me.  To me, peanut butter has just always been something that I liked so I ate it. I had no clue it was actually good for me to eat. Well I suppose not all peanut butter is good for you, but it is a sweet alternative for those who lead active lifestyles, are looking for extra protein in their diet and those who just want a healthy snack substitute.

Bell Plantation produces PB2 and Chocolate PB2 which are all natural, preservative free and contain no artificial sweeteners. PB2 actually removes over 90% of fat from the peanut to leave a powder in its place, in a chemical-free process of course! While 2 tablespoons of regular peanut butter have about 180 calories, PB2 contains only 50 calories! Oh and did I mention that it is powdered? Yes PB2 is actually Powdered Peanut Butter, but what makes this great is its ability to be added to anything easily. Add it to oatmeal, pudding, smoothies or simply add water to recreate a peanut butter spread. You get to control the consistency of the creaminess by adding the water.  I think that is completely awesome because I honestly never use peanut butter as anything other than a spread because of the pain it can be to use.  I actually make a smoothie every morning for breakfast and I never thought of adding a powdered peanut butter to it, but really that is an awesome and genius idea!  No more trying to push the peanut butter spread off the spoon and stirring it around, just drop in a spoonful or two of the powdered PB2!  Then the idea that there is a Chocolate PB2, it just gets better!

Some more features of Bell Plantation and PB2 products:

  • They do not contain any GMOs.
  • The peanuts come from shellers across several states.
  • Chocolate PB2 contains a combination of cocoas and chocolate.
  • PB2 ingredients are:  Roasted peanuts, salt and sugar – no artificial sweeteners, flavors or preservatives are used!
  • Once opened, PB2 is good for 4-6 months.
  • Since its powdered, it is extremely versatile!  Actually there are tons of recipes ideas on the Bell Plantation website to use PB2 and Chocolate PB2.

PB2 can be picked up at The Low Carb Grocery Store or you can just head over and read more about it there! It is a product you need to see yourself.  They even have Samplers available so you can try it without buying a whole $6.49 jar. I am all about cutting calories where I can and love that I don't have to sacrifice products I normally eat, like peanut butter.

I like my peanut butter which some marshmallow fluff on toasted bread usually, but I can't wait to whip up a smoothie with some added PB2, well maybe it will be Chocolate PB2. How do you like your peanut butter?  Have you ever tried powdered peanut butter?
