Avoiding Bathroom Disasters With Charmin

Disclosure:  I received a gift card and products in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Okay so one of my fears is being at someone’s house and having the toilet back-up or overflow.  What if there is no plunger available?  How embarrassing it would be to have to go to the owner and tell them you clogged their toilet!  While I can’t control other people’s bathrooms I do like to make sure my bathroom is set in case that ever happens.  I have a plunger readily accessible, I have my husband check the toilet before any big parties to make sure it is flushing okay and I use Charmin toilet paper!

Why Charmin?  Well Charmin is now Roto-Rooter approved!  Charmin has officially partnered with America’s largest provider of plumbing and draining services, Roto-Rooter, to make sure their toilet paper has passed the flush test!  Charmin’s reengineered design allows fro easier breakdown of toilet tissue giving your bathroom pipes a break.

I put Charmin to the test on Christmas Day when I had a house full of people and let me say there was no issues.  Everything flowed like it should and not only did I not have to worry about our toilet backing up from rough toilet paper, but I received a lot of compliments on how soft the toilet paper was!  Yes I actually had a few guests tell me they liked my toilet paper.

Here are a few tips to keep your bathroom pipes flowing properly and freely:

Don’t be a victim of the lingering flush.  If you hear water running for an extended time after a flush, then you could be wasting up to 200 gallons of water daily.  Stop jiggling the handle and call a professional like your local Roto-Rooter plumber.

The secret is in the TP.  Use Charmin toilet paper so even if someone uses too much it will have a better chance of breaking down before it clogs your pipes.

Don’t plunge your life away.  If a toilet requires plunging on a regular basis, this could mean there is an obstruction in the drainpipe or even farther down the sewer line.  Have a professional take a look.

Toilets do not get better with age.  If your toilet was made before 1994, chances are it is probably costing a fortune in water and its time for an upgrade.  Newer toilets use only 1.6 gallons per flush, while some old ones use up to 3.5 gallons per flush.  An efficient new toilet will conserve water and save you money month after month.

Don’t let the outside in.  Be sure to disconnect outside water hoses.  If let connected water in the hoses can freeze and expand causing faucets and connecting pipes inside your home to freeze and break.
