So I have a love/hate relationship with both white and brown sugar. White sugar I tend to spill everywhere trying to scoop it out of the paper carton it comes in (which I also usually tend to have a hole in somewhere) and brown sugar always hardens on me. In the morning especially I don’t have time to mess around with sugar as I am trying to feed three kids and get two of them out the door for school. Now yes there is a time when I need a boatload of sugar for a recipe but for times when I just want to sprinkle some sugar onto my cereal, oatmeal, strawberries or in my iced coffee, I want quick and easy.
Well Domino Sugar must be psychic because they have come out with new Pourable Light Brown Sugar and Quick Dissolve Superfine Sugar. They are sugars that come in a plastic container with a plastic flip top lid for easy pouring! They make it so much easier to sprinkle sugar and without causing a mess in the kitchen. Oh and no more hardened brown sugar bags to deal with either – yeah! The Quick Dissolve Superfine Sugar is perfect for my iced coffees especially because it dissolves right away rather than leaving chunks of sugar in my beverages.
I know its crazy to be this excited about sugar but really it is a genius idea that I’m amazed hasn’t been invented before! You can even peel the wrapper off easily for a clear bottle design if you like to leave it out on the counter. These will especially come in handy for when we have parties because I no longer have to be embarrassed by lugging out my big 5 lb. paper carton of sugar for my guests to use in their coffee, these hourglass containers look a lot nicer and again are so much easier to use!
