Radio Flyer Cyclone “Zoom, Spin, and Grin” {Review}

Disclosure:  I received this product to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Finally here in Chicago we got some warm weather, well by warm I mean 50 degrees!  My kids could not wait to get outdoors and when the weather is warm enough they always want to be outside.  With three kids and tons of neighborhood kids that hang out at our house, I feel like I can never have enough outside toys or just ride-on toys in general.

Radio Flyer is company that is known for their wagons, but they make so much more.  Their newest product is called the “Cyclone” and it is designed for kids to Zoom, Spin, and Grin.

Using arm powered action, you can spin 360⁰ for unlimited fun. Whether you are zooming forward or rolling in reverse, the 16” wheels offer a smooth ride. This ride on also features comfort handgrips to guide your ride and an ergonomic seat and frame for a comfort ride. The solid steel frame and rear caster wheel ensure years of classic Radio Flyer fun.

For ages 3-7 years old.  Weight limit 69 pounds.

When my kids saw this they couldn’t wait to ride it.  The Cyclone is unlike any of their other ride-on toys because this one uses their arm strength instead of peddling with their feet.  Setting up the Cyclone was fairly easy for my husband, not too many pieces and the directions were pretty clear.

My boys tried it first zooming around the house, but the fun really started when they got outside.  They surprisingly had the hang of it right away and were zooming around the driveway in no time.  Even my 3 year old was able to do it!  What stands out too about the Cyclone is that it is geared towards older kids, ages 3 to 7 years old.  It is a nice break from bike riding and I love that they are working out their arms!  They love that they can go in circles and zoom around.  It is a fun kid-powered toy!  My first thought when I saw it was this scooter thing I used to have when I was little, it was nice to introduce my boys to something similar to what I had.  I will say though the Cyclone is a little bulky and doesn’t fold up so you do need room to store it, I wish the wheels folded flat.

Overall though my kids have no complaints with the Cyclone and have asked to use it every day it has been nice out.
