DVD Review: “The Little Rascals Save the Day”

Disclosure: I was sent this DVD to review in exchange for my honest opinion.

The Little Rascals Save the Day

Released:  April 1, 2014

Studio:  Universal Studios

Running Time:  98 minutes

The Little Rascals are back in an all-new movie! Join the fun with Spanky, Alfalfa, Darla, Buckwheat, Petey the dog and the whole gang as they are up to their usual mischief! The Rascals try anything to raise the money needed to save their grandma’s (Doris Roberts) bakery. The only trouble is – they just can’t seem to do anything right! From botched pet washes to terrible taxi service, they can’t raise a penny. Their only hope is to win prize money from the local talent show – but have you ever heard Alfalfa sing?

This is an adorable family movie.  Cheesy of course, but appropriate for a family.  I watched it with my three kids ages 7, 5, and 2 and we all laughed throughout the movie.  I am not a Little Rascals fan but after having my own kids and seeing the crazy stuff they do, it was nice to see these kids do it trying to help out.  There is even a preppie young rich kid and a bully in the story.  I am sure we will be watching this movie again and again.  My boys were especially amazed by the treehouse they have!

  • My 5 year old daughter decided to put on a puppet show for us with her 3 year old brother. She could not find any puppets so put some yarn on him and pretended he was the puppet.

  • True story my daughter years ago when she was like in 3rd grade brought her hamster who had passed away in the night to school in a tampax box..Lets just say at her teachers conference a few weeks later her teacher had a hard time keeping a straight face without laughing when we talked about it ..I was pretty embarassed

  • Once when my son was little he took the eggs out of the fridge & hid them for the Easter Bunny. The next morning I go to make breakfast, no eggs & that's when he told me what he did. Needless to say, no eggs for breakfast & rotten eggs to pick up outside :)
