Our Balcony Stateroom Aboard the MSC Divina Cruise Ship #MSCDivina

I received a complimentary cruise for myself and family in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Recently I took my family of five on the MSC Divina to the Caribbean.  Since my youngest is 2 years old we were able to get an exception for all of us to stay in one room, honestly I am not sure what the cut off age is for us needing a second room.  To say I was worried about all of us sleeping and functioning properly in a tiny stateroom (about 150 sq. feet not including the balcony) would be an understatement.  Honestly though we were more than fine.  My husband and I had no problem sleeping on the European King Bed (bigger than the Queen bed we are used to) and my three kids fit on the pull out sofa.  The pull-out sofa was a must for us and I am so glad it worked out for us.

As far as storage goes in the room, there really is a lot.  We had a cabinet and shelves in the bathroom, a closet with a long rod for hanging clothes, a bunch of drawers and shelf overhead and then we had a few more drawers between the nightstands and desk.  What about our bulky suitcases?  Under the bed!  Yes even our big suitcases fit under the bed and that is where we kept our shoes and dirty clothes.  Don’t forget to utilize that space!  We put our life jackets under there as well.  Trying to get all us out the door and stay somewhat organized was a necessity and it was important to stay on top of things.

So I guess what I am trying to say is don’t be afraid of the small rooms on the cruise.  I highly recommend a balcony because it gives you a little bit more space and a place to go to unwind or cool off.  For me it was great to go after the kids went to bed to unwind.  I honestly liked the cozy feeling of all of us being together.  We really didn’t spend too much time in our room anyways though as we were constantly doing something on the ship.  My husband and I ended up splitting up where one of us would do something with one and the other would have the other two kids.  It was honestly an amazing experience.  There are bigger rooms on the MSC Divina but there are only a few available and really we were fine in the regular balcony stateroom.

Here is a You Tube slideshow I created of all our pictures:

Since I have so many pictures to share, I figured I’d break down our cruise into separate posts, so if you want to read more about our cruise experience read my other cruise posts and check out my YouTube slideshows I made of the MSC Divina!
