Pros and Cons of Staying in a Vacation Home in Orlando, FL (All Star Vacation Homes) {Review} #RockYourVacation

I received travel and tickets in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Vacations to me mean I don’t have to cook or clean. Recently I got the chance to stay in an All Star Vacation Home in Orlando, Florida and honestly it changed my perspective on vacationing in a home rather than a hotel. Each does have its perks but it comes down to what is right for your family.

Pros of staying in an All Star Vacation Home:

  • Lots of room to spread out
  • Washer/Dryer
  • Full Kitchen with dishes and pots/pans
  • Game room
  • Your own pool and hot tub
  • Driveway for your car
  • Close enough to Disney World
  • For a big family (I’d say 5 or more people) to get more than one room and kitchenette, it is cheaper to stay in a vacation home
  • Beautiful interior
  • Free WiFi (although you may not want this if you have teens!)

Cons of staying in an All Star Vacation Home:

  • You need to bring your car or rent one to get around
  • No entertainment provided (some hotels have places for kids or family movie nights)
  • Not on the Disney World property
  • May feel like your at home rather than on vacation
  • Kids may not want to leave the gameroom or private pool!
  • Family is spread out (this can be a pro or a con – depending on how close you want the family vacaiton to be)
  • No maid cleaning up each day
  • No room service or gift shop to pick up items from

Honestly I was blown away with how amazing the house was that we stayed in. It had seven bedrooms, a pool, game room, kitchen, dining room, family room and was designed right out of a magazine. The two kids rooms upsairs were even kid-themed.

I think we will be staying at an All-Star Vacation home next time we visit Disney World as we plan on bringing my in-laws and its actually cheaper to rent the home rather than get two rooms to accommodate all of us. The kitchen would be perfect too so we can have breakfast every day there cheaply before heading out for the day. I only worry that my kids will not want to leave!

The way renting a home works is super easy as well. You are given a code to use to open the door and then once your inside there is a phone with directions on what to do if you need help. We actually couldn’t figure out how to get the heater on for the hot tub and called and within an hour someone was there fixing it! Oh and worried about bathrooms? Each room had its own bathroom with shower! Yes the house we stayed in had seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms! Each bathroom did have toiletries (shampoo, lotion, soap) and a hair dryer – in case your wondering.

Need a smaller or bigger house? All-Star Vacations has homes to accommodate whatever your needs are! They are definitely someone to consider when planning your next Orlando vacation!
