Disclosure: I received the product below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
At my house we don’t have enough room (or money for that matter) for a pool so my kids usually have to enjoy the sprinkler and water guns. One thing that I have wanted for them though was an inflatable water slide but I just couldn’t bring myself to pay for one. Let me tell you that after seeing my three kids faces on the Slam ‘n’ Curve Slide by Little Tikes I can’t believe I ever hesitated in buying one. They absolutely love it and it has become priceless in our household.
Features we love:
So I honestly will say I was nervous about setting this up and nervous over what it would do to our grass. First off setting it up was extremely easy. Just lay it out on the grass, anchor it, attach hose and plug it in. From taking it out of the bag that it comes with for storage to set up to allowing kids on it, its just minutes. The hardest part for me was probably just pushing the plastic anchors into the grass!
So how does it stay inflated? You keep it plugged into a blower (that is included.) It is not inflatable like you need an air compressor to blow it up but rather its blown up with an air blower, so if you unplug the blower it will deflate.
I had kids on this from ages 3 to 9 and all of them had a blast, literally. My just about 3 year old was not a fan of the sprinkler that shoots off the water on the top of the slide but as soon as we turned that off she was all over it! The sprinkler basically wets the slide but my kids would just splash water up the slide and it was fine.
Would I recommend this waterslide? Yes, Yes, and Yes! We have only used it a few times so far but I can see it lasting us. We actually have a Little Tikes indoor bouncer that was a given to us from our neighbors so it is pretty old, and it is the same material as the Slam ‘n’ Curve Slide and it has lasted us. Once the weather warms up for good here, its a little crazy here in Chicago, I can see us using this probably daily. Set up is a breeze and our grass, honestly you can’t even tell where we had it set up! I will probably alternate where we put it each time just in case but so far so good. So if your worried about damage to the grass, don’t be!
Yes this is a big chunk of change, but I promise the smiles on your kids faces will be worth it. It is big enough for multiple kids (it does say a maximum of three) and keeps kids entertained! My kids play on this slide for hours, seriously hours each time! Oh and its not terribly heavy, I can manage it all by myself!
