Money is a constant battle in probably most households. From daily bills to saving money to teaching kids about money, money is an issue everywhere and for everyone. There are times where I feel like we are getting ahead with our money and then something unexpected bill will pop up. Whether it be a small cost or big cost, any little bit can throw off a budget. I always say “When it rains, it pours” and that applies to money as well, at least in my household it does.
Well money is such an issue here in the United States that American Express has sponsored a documentary about money by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Davis Guggenheim is the executive producer and Tyler Perry narrates. The documentary is about 40 minutes long and it features real people and their stories. The people are of all different backgrounds and times of their lives, but all have issues with money. Some started out with all this money but hit unexpected issues such as illnesses while others tried to start a business but struggled due to their credit score.
I honestly really liked the documentary and I am not usually a documentary person. I liked hearing about the stories from real-people. Its so sad to see though how little mistakes can really impact futures or just the recession in general. One woman had an Associates degree, Bachelors degree and a MBA degree, and still couldn’t find a nursing degree.
