My parent’s pool is a place that my kids would go everyday if they could. My kids are pretty much the only ones that use the pool now that my siblings and I are grown, but my poor dad has to constantly maintain the pool. From crazy weather, to leaks, to green water and just dirt in general, a pool can be a lot of work. One brand that we use to help keep up with the maintenance is HTH®. I received three products to try out on my parent’s pool and so far I have to say the HTH® Party Potion is my favorite and the HTH® Super Select shock treatment did a really great job.

So what exactly does the Super shock treatment do? Well it kills bacteria and algae and basically helps maintain the pool after rain or lots of pool use. My dad usually shocks the pool weekly for a good deep clean. The Green to Blue shock treatment does all that and more by working extra hard to transform your green water to a crystal clear blue.

The Party Potion is a water enhancer, like a dye for your pool. No, it doesn’t rub off on your skin, which I was worried about. My dad used this the other weekend when we were over and boy was it blue! You pour it in by the filter and as it works its way around the pool you could clearly see the difference! Even my dad who was a skeptic was amazed. It’s temporary but perfect for when you are having a party!

So, the other weekend we went swimming in my parent’s freshly cleaned pool and had a blast. Oh and did I mention we tie-dyed some towels too?! Yep my one son and I sat in the grass and did a tie dye kit to some towels we received.

Overall, we had a blast swimming and doing activities all day and it definitely made a difference swimming in water you know is clean and blue. My dad loves the HTH® brand of products and was thrilled that I introduced them to him. My kids kept saying how clean the pool looked! HTH® does all the work for you so you can have more family time!
