Getting Your Phone or Device Battery Charged On-The-Go With myCharge {Review}

Disclosure:  I received the product below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Once I got a smartphone I realized why people were always complaining about their phone battery not lasting, the Internet and social media really seem to suck up a battery.  I have a relatively new smartphone and when I am out taking pictures, checking emails and uploading my pictures to social media, I cannot even get a full day out of it.  Recently I was at the Shedd Aquarium with my kids and I actually had to slow down on my usage because I was down to 10% battery.  Now of course there are other factors for my battery loss but regardless I needed a charge.  Had I had the myCharge Transit in my purse I would have been all set for the rest of the day.

So what is the myCharge Transit?  It is a portable battery that offers quick and easy on-the-go portable power.  What makes this device stand out though from other portable chargers I have seen is that this one actually comes with a car adapter built in so you can charge your device easily in the car.  Oh and it does of course have wall prongs as well to charge inside.

Features of the myCharge Transit:

  • Offers up to 11 hours of talk time / 8 hours of browsing (on a 3G network)
  • Four-light LED battery indicator
  • High Efficiency Technology maximizes power to your device
  • High Density Battery, more power in a smaller footprint
  • Smartsense Technology, identifies and charges any device
  • Fast Charging Technology, shortens charge time by 25% or more
  • Built-in wall prongs and car adapter for recharging anywhere
  • Pre-charged and ready to use

So if you have never used a portable battery charger you may not even know what they do.  Well you charge the portable battery charger and then when your out if your device dies you can plug it into this charger and it charges your device without having to plug into an outlet.  Perfect for when your out and not able to sit down and wait for your device to charge.  The myCharge Transit is about the size of a phone and not too heavy so its not a big burden to throw in my purse just in case.  For guys though I guess they’d have to keep in their cars or man bags because it would be awkward to have in their pocket, along with a phone, wallet and whatever else.  I love the conveince of charging it the car so I can always have it ready when I need it.

How well does it work?  I was able to charge my device to more than half way after just a few hours.  I was surprised at how fast it charged my device and it was so nice to not have to be plugged in.  I have used this on our phones and tablets with no problem.

I love too the multiple levels of protection.  It protects your devices against overcharge, undercharge, over current, over-temperature and short circuit.
