Going Back to School With Some Help From Master Lock #MasterBackToSchool

Disclosure:  This post was compensated by Global Influence in exchange for sharing this information and my opinions.

Back to school in my household means getting into a routine.  From waking up early to going to bed early to homework, it is a big change for my kids.  Well according to survey conducted by Survey Monkey in 2014 (among Americans representative of the National U.S. Census), nearly one third of North Americans say a return to routine is their favroite part of back-to-school season.  Then there is the statistic that nearly half of North American parents admitted that their child has had an item stolen from them at school, with the most valuable being their cell phone.

My kids are young still, with my oldest being in 2nd grade, but I dread the day he wants to start taking some form of technology to school.  There is kind of a double edged sword with a kid bringing a cell phone to school – on one hand they can use it after school to call for a ride home if they have a sport or something to attend and on the other hand it can get stolen.  Whatever the child’s age, stuff can be stolen from them way too easy.  For me, I didn’t have to worry about that because I walked to school and cell phones weren’t around really when I was in school.

Since 1921 Master Lock has been providing innovation securtiy solutions for home, campus, bikes and more, with it being the world’s largest manufacturer of padlocks and related security products today.  They are a recognized leader in the padlock and security industries, striving to provide the best products for families to live safely and securely.  Luckily Master Lock has a great line of products perfect for Back to School.  From their 1500eDBX dialSpeed lock to 5900D SafeSpace, kids can be a little more prepared heading back to school and parents a little more assured.  I love how their products are constantly being improved upon and kept up with new technology.  I remember when I had to remember the combination to my lock that I turned left and right to various numbers, now kids can use Speed Dial (the first padlock that opens on directional movements (up, down, left, right) instead of the traditional rotary dial) and the first-ever digital padlock called dialSpeed.

Since my kids don’t need locks for their lockers yet, I haven’t used the 1500eDBX dialSpeed but I do love the design and simplicity.  I love that it stores multiple resettableguest codes and is great for one-handed, no-look operation!

The 5900D SafeSpace though has become my new favorite product.  It is like a small vault for your small devices.  Phone, wallet, small camera?  Yep it can fit in there and lock smoothly.  I actually am going to use this when we go places like theme parks, water parks and other places I leave our stuff unattended while we do things.
