Join Auntie Anne’s and Alex’s Lemonade Stand to Help Fight Childhood Cancer

The “C” word.  It may be an unspoken word but we all know what the “C” stands for.  It is something that can does not discriminate age, sex, or nationality.  While Cancer is hard on everyone and their families, I can only imagine how tough it is when it affects a child.  Kids are supposed to have their whole lives ahead of them and be able to be carefree.  Kids shouldn’t have to deal with such a threatening disease that can rob them of their childhood; unfortunately though cancer does affect kids.

To help spread the word about fighting childhood cancer, Auntie Anne’s has partnered with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF.)

I recently learned about Alex’s Lemonade Stand and was amazed that the idea was started by a 4 year old, Alexandra “Alex” Scott.  At just 4 years old, Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for children with cancer.  While Alex passed away in 2004, the ALSF has grown and to date it has raised more than $75 million towards childhood cancer research.

Auntie Anne’s and Alex’s Lemonade Stand is hosting a “Mini But Mighty Hero” each week.

Victoria’s battle began when she was just six month’s old.  Now four years old, she is happily in remission.  Her mom proudly writes, “Victoria is my hero because she has been through so much more than I could imagine going through myself.  She is always been a positive and happy person.”

Want to read more about other inspiring kids?  You can find more information about other Childhood Cancer Heroes on the ALSF website.  Cancer is something that affects so many of us whether it be us directly, a family member, friend, co-worker or friend of a friend.

How can you help?

From July 28 to September 15, visit https://www.crowdtilt.com/campaigns/themightyfight to contribute money and draw attention for ALSF.

For every time you share this campaign, Auntie Anne’s, Inc. will also donate $0.25 towards childhood cancer research.
