Bluegreen Vacations Christmas Mountain Village in Wisconsin Dells {Review}

To end summer I decided we need one last quick vacation and my family choose Wisconsin Dells.  We first visited Wisconsin Dells last year and found it to be an affordable quick and fun vacation for us.  This year I got the chance to check out Christmas Mountain Village from Bluegreen Vacations.  I actually booked my room right through Choice Hotels with their Best Internet Rate Guarantee.

So what did we think of Christmas Mountain Resort?  We loved it.  It is not a normal hotel either, there are a variety of different rooms available.  We stayed in a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom villa which was completely separate and like our own little cabin in the woods.

Our villa had:

• 3 televisions
• full kitchen will all the appliances (including coffee maker, toaster and blender) and eating area
• 2 bedrooms
• 2 full bathrooms
• closed deck with table and chairs
• multiple patio doors
• closets for storage
• washer/dryer

Now we were only there a weekend and had plans at various places in Wisconsin Dells so we didn’t take advantage of all that Christmas Mountain has to offer but we did have a great time.  My husband especially, who is very picky about where we stay, said that he wants to stay there next time.  I think our favorite part was all the room we had and that it included everything we’d need, except food!  There was dishwasher and laundry detergent, soaps and shampoos in the bathrooms, towels, all the bedding and even a little basket of microwave popcorn, coffee and some candy!  Such a  nice bonus!

Our villa was locate by the entrance to Christmas Mountain, which is about a 10-minute drive from downtown Wisconsin Dells.  There were outdoor pools spread out all around the property, we had one and a playground right behind our villa.  We ended up doing other things that we never even got the chance to swim in there but it is nice that they have the pools spread out. We did though use the indoor pool at the main office after we checked out for a little bit.  It was really perfect for our aged kids. My daughter could walk and use the slide or teeter totter with no problem and my boys loved swimming in the 4 feet water and going down the waterslide.

Checking in and out was a breeze, and we even bought some discounted tickets for attractions in Wisconsin Dells.  I’d recommend Christmas Mountain Village Resort for anyone looking for a place to stay in the Wisconsin Dells area that isn’t a traditional hotel.  We loved all the space we had, having our breakfast out on the enclosed deck area, cooking breakfast each morning which saved us some money and it was so quiet and relaxing there.  We watched movies at night and didn’t have to worry about anything.  There was no maid service while we were there but we could request fresh towels if we needed them. They also give you special towels for pool use!

Christmas Mountain Village Resort is also a year round resort as they are a big skiing resort in the winter.  My family has never been skiing together so maybe that will be our next adventure!  Oh and if you have a golfer in the family, they have their own golf course as well.  As far as prices go, we stayed at a prime time in the summer and it was just over $300 a night but for the five of us it was and all the amenities we had, I think it was worth it.  Other times the prices will change as it depends on how many people in your party, how big of a place you’d like and the time of the year.
