Disney Princess Palace Pets Magic Dance Pumpkin {Review}

I have two boys that have remote controlled everything it seems like and my daughter is always trying to use them.  My 3 year old is very much a princess, so it was only fitting that she play with the New Magic Dance Pumpkin by Blip Toys.  Pumpkin, she is Cinderella’s dog, is an adorably somewhat plush pooch that comes with not just a regular remote but a wand remote, because princesses need to have wands.  I saw her before she came out at an expo and I know she is going to be a hit with the upcoming holidays.

Okay so I will say I was skeptical about whether or not this toy would be worth the $60 price tag and I am leaning towards it is.  She says lots of cute phrases and with the wand remote she can move all over.  My daughter is only 3, the recommended age is 4, and didn’t really have any issues with it working.  It does say it works best if your around 6 feet away, which my daughter of course wanted to practically be on top of her new puppy. We did have a problem with her tail coming off but I just had to snap it back in and it was fine.

Overall though, Magic Dance Pumpkin has been cruising around our house daily.  She works best on hardwood or tile floors, she didn’t work on our carpeting.  I have even seen my boys, ages 6 and 7, playing with Magic Dance Pumpkin as she is so fun to control.  The buttons on the wand are either directional or they have pictures on them, which is perfect for little kids to do themselves.  Oh and she is bigger than expected at around 12 inches tall.  I’d say this would make a great gift for any little princess especially one with brothers who have remote controlled stuff they can’t use.
