Did you know that 70% of car seats are improperly installed?  I remember when we had our first son my husband had to take our car to have the car seat installed since my son came early.  He had no clue how to install it and was told by a friend that he needed to have it professionally installed to be safe.  Back then we didn’t have a LATCH system in our car so it was even trickier to install properly.  Now cars seem to all have the LATCH anchors which makes it a lot easier, but still there is room for error.

The Evenflo Symphony LX All-in-One Car Seat uses the Evenflo SureSafe System which increases proper installation by 2x, compared to the standard latch.  The system consists of a Quick Connector LATCH and Guides that increase proper installation by making it easier to find your vehicles lower anchors.  The Quick Connector LATCH easily attaches and detaches the seat from the vehicle with one hand for easy transition between vehicles.  This is seriously an amazing feature and after installing many car seats these LATCH guides.  My husband couldn’t believe how easy and quick it was to install the car seat and he felt it was snug like it should be.

What about protection?  Evenflo goes above and beyond government standards to provide car seats that are 2x the Federal Crash Test Standard.  In addition, they have e3 Side Impact Protection, which contains three layers of engineered foam designed and tested to reduce side impact forces up to 50%.

Another feature that I haven’t seen on other car seats before is this one features Buckle Pockets, which are small pockets to hook in the harness buckles when not in use.  This eliminates hot buckle burns and having to dig under your child for lost buckles.

What about the car seat in general?

Honestly my favorite feature is the LATCH Guides which really make it easy to install.  I regularly take my 3 year old’s car seat out to clean it or switch cars.  I need a car seat that is easy to safely install, with other car seats I have felt that I wasn’t strong enough to really get it tight.  Next I love that it is 3-Seats-In-1, from a rear-facing infant to a belt-positioning booster for older children.  My daughter was so excited to sit in her new seat and I feel good as a mom having her in it.  There really isn’t anything I’d add or change about this car seat.
